Q: The burners are discolouring after use

A: When heat is applied to any metal surface, a small amount of discoloration may be noticed. This is quite normal and does not effect the operation of the appliance.

Q: Why are there cracks appearing in the ceramic hob

A: Cracks may be caused be incorrect pans, pans or utensils being dropped or the hob left on with no pan in use. Cracks radiating out from the centre usually indicate something has been dropped. Cracks across the elements usually indicate a faulty element or the element has been used without a pan.
Note: The hob should not be used until a repair has been made.

Q: Hob fails to ignite (Gas Models Only)

A: Customer should check that no food debris or spillage is between the burner caps and electrode

Q: Why is the flame on the burners so large

A: All gas models are factory set for natural gas. If the appliance is used on LPG (bottled gas) the flame will be incorrect and will need to be converted for LPG using the LPG conversion kit supplied with the cooker. This work must be carried out be a qualified CORGI registered service agent.

Q: Water takes a long time to boil

A: Depending on the type of pan being used, boil times will vary, especially if incorrect pans are used on ceramic hobs.

Q: There are marks appearing on the ceramic hob

A: This may be due to copper based pans transferring a small amount of copper to the ceramic surface, this can be removed using a proprietary ceramic hob cleaner. If the surface is becoming scratched, this may be due to incorrect pans or the pans being pulled across the ceramic surface. (see users instruction book)
